The Hopkinton Historical Society has in its collection:

· A number of family records from the Hopkinton area

· Revolutionary War records including some pension records

· A limited number of New Hampshire town histories

· Copies of deed abstracts

· Cemetery records

· A limited number of probate records of homes and businesses

· A limited number of photographs of homes and businesses

Most of the information is a transcript of the original document. We do not necessarily possess all records pertaining to genealogy or property ownership in the town. Additional research may be conducted by contacting the Hopkinton, NH Town Clerk’s Office at 603-746-3180 or the State of NH Department of Records and Archives at 603-271-2236.

To conduct your own research:

Visitors are welcome to conduct their own research during museum hours of operation. It is helpful if you have called ahead so that we may get materials ready for you. A member of the Hopkinton Historical Society staff will be available to assist you with research if an appointment has been previously scheduled.  Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Society at 603-746-3825.

To request HHS to conduct research for you:

The Historical Society staff can investigate a research request for you. To make a request, please download and complete our research request form and send it to HHS along with a research fee of $15 for HHS members/$20 for non-members. This fee includes one hour of research plus copying and mailing costs. Additional hours if necessary will be charged at the same rate.

Please make checks payable to Hopkinton Historical Society or HHS.
